It’s Finally Here

Published on February 5, 2018 by RooLeave a comment

February 5, 2018 marks the day that I finally have a logo! Well, kind of… it’s a start! I’m happy with it. I was going to do so much to it, and then I decided that it’s perfect. It’s basic and works for what I’m doing, which is pretty much everything!

Another huge thing that has happened today is that I’ve reached 30 followers! I am beyond happy and excited to see that so many people have enjoyed my content. I know I’ve done this in the past, but thank you all so much for reading my posts, it truly means the world to me.

Now that I have a logo, I can start producing so much more content. I want to start making videos and posting more on Twitter and Instagram, and now I can because I have a logo. In my mind, I needed to have a logo in place before I really started to expand on the type of content I make. It’s silly, but I was holding myself back until it was done.

I am so excited to know that soon I will be able to truly share who I am with all of you. I can’t wait to see what direction I pull myself in and how I will continue to grow.

It’s Something

Published on January 25, 2018 by RooLeave a comment

I couldn’t find my art supplies! So, in the meantime, pictured above is the place holder. It was created on a free logo maker website. There is good news, though! I finally came up with the perfect logo that will not only cover everything I want to do, but it’s simplistic! I also have all the supplies to make it! I do really like the alien, but not for this project!

I will be staying up again to get the real logo done and have everything prepped for Monday morning. Starting next week, I will be exercising, working, studying and everything else I need to do. I will be running on two schedules: my blog schedule and my daily schedule. They will intertwine and I will probably get lost if I don’t follow it. This weekend will be spent putting the final touches on my blogging schedule and preparing for the new week.

Tomorrow, I think I’m going to break out my flat-iron and see how straight I can get my hair. I have wavy/curly, thick hair which has been dyed my natural color. I used to be able to get my hair pin-straight in high school, but I got lazy and stopped caring about what people thought of my hair. I think it will be fun to see what I look like now with straightened hair, and how long it actually is. I’ve been trying to grow my hair out again because I miss my long hair, but I’m starting to become impatient!

I’m happy that I’m moving forward and up, and I hope I keep moving in this direction. I know there will be obstacles along the way, but I hope I will be able to get through them a bit smoother now.

Search and Rescue: Art Supplies

Published on January 25, 2018January 25, 2018 by RooLeave a comment

One thing I can’t stand is when I don’t know where something is. Today was going to be the day that I tried to make my logo by hand (didn’t like how the ones on my computer were turning out), but now today will be spent locating my art supplies that got lost in the hustle and bustle. I will describe what I plan on doing if I find my stuff!

I have ink and a plate that I can use to pull prints, as well as tons of calligraphy stuff. I thought I would try my hand at pulling a print and use that as the logo. If that doesn’t work, I will then move onto watercolor painting and using my paint markers. Then, if all else fails, I will be using one of my favorite painting techniques I learned in kindergarten!

When I was in kindergarten, my mom signed my up for an art class. We did everything from painting to coloring, but one day we did something that changed how I thought art was created. She took a shoe box, put a piece of paper in the bottom on it, dipped a ball in paint and put it in the box, put the lid on the box and shook it around! I thought it was so cool! I haven’t done it since, but I have plenty of shoe boxes and paint!

I’m going to be putting my frustrated energy into finding my supplies and making my logo, as well as doing work. I got up a little late today, but the sun is still out so I can still get things done!
